Photograph of a teacher giving speech lessons to a deaf boy in school for hearing impaired children at Clarke School for the Deaf. The teacher is Marjorie Magner who uses mirrors and touch techniques to teach deaf children to mimic sounds. Ms. Magner places the hand of the boy with a hearing handicap near her mouth as part of the speech lesson. The boy wears a hearing aid to amplify sound.
